Trying for a Baby Part 9

Hugs Part Mouse, Skint Catt and all others who need them
I have stomach cramps today which feel like AF arriving, but only on CD25 and the last 2 months have been around 35 days - if it does come soon I will be annoyed as will have BD at the wrong times and am going on holiday next week0 -
I had a hycosy which is very similar to a HSG (they use u/s instead of x-ray). I'll be honest, it flipping hurt. But it was really quick. The whole procedure took about 10 minutes. Most of that was just like a normal smear or internal scan. The painful bit lasted literally seconds and a lovely nurse squeezed my hand all through it. As soon as they stopped the pain went.
Most other people don't seem to have had any pain at all so fingers crossed you're in that camp.
That probably didn't come out as reassuring as it sounded in my head lol. What I'm trying to get across is that it doesn't hurt for most people, but even if it does hurt it's really quick.0 -
Evening ladies
Hugs to those that need them xx
Not alot to report. Been feeling unbelievably exhausted this week, to the point when I was stood in the lift at work I leant against the wall and could feel myself nodding offJust been really stressed out with work and not sleeping properly so it's all getting on top of me now. I think because I'm tired as well I'm overly emotional and feel like crying at the drop of a hat! Infact I actually did the other night when hubby came home from work and told me his work colleague announced she was pregnant, I burst into tears, whats that all about?! I seem to be unable to be happy for pregnant women anymore, I just either feel sad or resentment and I hate that about myself.
But it's the weekend and I have a bottle of lovely white wine in the fridge so think I'm going to pour myself a glass soonNew House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Was gutted to be on holiday and for af to arrive. ..completely floored me - had no supplies as all cycles since mc have been 33 days plus. This was c d28 - was always this before mc and have been thinking my cycles needed to go back to this for me to conceive. Anyway im rambling - please can I be updated regrettably to cd3?
Congratulations twig - lovely news x catching up but can see some of us are having rough time at moment so thinking of you all.0 -
Oh dear I've been a bit naughty. For the past year I've been so good during my tww no booze no painkillers less caffeine etc but I've just been out for tapas with dh and had a mahoosive glass of sangria and then they brought us a shot of amaretto which I also downed.
I don't even feel that guilty as being miss goody two shoes clearly hasn't done the trick. As I'm such a lightweight this may be the sangria talking! Does anyone else get fed up of behaving themselves or is it just me?0 -

I'll be taking soy on CD 3-5. Not sure whether to keep taking inositol this month, it doesn't seem to have done anything for the last two months.
Do you take it like clomid then? What dose etc? I may see if that works... (HA). I think that AC has brought my cycle down lengthwise by roughly 3-6 days so anything that shortens it more is a bonus really.
With regards to HSG. I've only had one and I would say it was a lot less painful than having my mirena coil inserted and slightly more uncomfortable than having a smear. I have a wonky cervix and a crap uterus so they had me voguing all over the sodding bed to try and force the fluid into a none-existent fallopian tube- and that didn't make it hurt more. I would take a couple of painkillers first in case you get crampy afterwards. and maybe consider taking annual leave. I ended up taking emergency a/l as my results (and radiographers) threw me through a loop!
Skint-catt. Most of us who've been here a while/ have longer cycles use all manner of supplements to help regulate our cycles. I have PCOS/ endo and my cycles have varied from 33 to 56 days. I currently take 800mg agnus castus (these ones http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=4&prodid=449&cid=164) which I think has reduced my cycle to around 35 days. This month I've started taking750mg inositol (this one http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/inositol/10530319.html ). There's loads of research that d-chiro inositol (one of the bits in inositol) can have a good effect on PCOS women's cycles. This link is good for explaining its effects, though it's from a miscarriage website it deals with other conditions it is beneficial for ( https://sites.google.com/site/miscarriageresearch/supplements-and-miscarriage/d-chiro-inositol ). There's also soy isoflavones (which I've yet to try) that are supposed to be like a natural clomid.... If you're anything like me within the week you'll rattle when you walk! :rotfl:0 -
Thank you tea & cake, will take a look at those! Think I definately have to do something now xx
edit; just seen a review on the inositol - I won't be able to take is as I'm on a SSRI anti-depressantWill start with the agnus castus anyway

Purcy when I first started TTC I was SOO strict. No alcohol at all, cut right down on caffeine etc then when it didn't happen the first month, or second, or 6th I thought I can't live like this! I'm not saying I'm giving you sound medical advice, but if you find out you're pregnant I hardly think the odd glass of sangria is going to do any harm, and going out and enjoying yourself now and again brings the stress levels downSo yes I do drink when I know I'm not pregnant ( not excessively though ), and some months I might have the odd drink on my TWW as well, but I highly doubt 1 drink is going to be the cause of me not conceiving that month.
Sometimes I worry I get too obsessed about every little thing I do or don't do and think that all the stress can't be good! So I don't worry so much now and just try to be sensible most of the time and allow myself the odd blow outNew House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Please, please if anyone else is considering using Agnus Castus please research further. Has very mixed reviews, some people say it's great, some say it messes up their cycles and also have found some stuff about being connected to miscarriages though I'm not suggesting it's fact, only that it's worth looking into for yourself before deciding. All I'm saying is if you're interested, make an informed decision.0 -
Skint Catt I to am on ssri anti depressants, I'm trying to find out why inositol isn't a good mix with them?0
