A named driver on partner's car insurance

Does anyone know of any companies who honour the no claims accrued on someone else's car insurance, as I have been a named driver on partners policy for a few years? I could save me quite a bit of money. Most places I have contacted, say because the policy was not in my name, they cannot help?

I don't know any off the top of my head, but in my experience, it's who you get through to in the call centre that usually makes a difference... Admittedly you haven't accrued any No Claims yourself, but your experience should account for something I agree.
Have you tried the big boys? Direct Line, Aviva?0 -
Have you tried with your partner's company? A number of them will allow a 'No Claim Discount' for named drivers but only if you take a policy out with them.
Some companies will also allow an introductory bonus for the first year if you have no No Claims but I'm afraid I'm not sure which ones. A comparison site should flag them up if indeed they are any cheaper.0 -
As chrisw says, your partners current company is probably best bet. Especially if they do a multicar policy. But even that may not be cheaper than starting with 0 at another company.0
