I could only eat Farley's Rusks when pregnant with my son!
As the others have said, give yourself a break. This will pass. Ready meals are okay for a while. All the best. x

When you can cook, batch cook as much as possible thenf reeze it in portions. It will mean you have a homemade ready meal without having to cook. It will be good practice for when you have a baby a no time for cooking too!

I don't have one, but understand slow cookers are great for getting homecooked food without a huge kerfuffle. Could you try using one of those?

    Congratulations!

Don't worry about not being able to cook - the first few weeks are the worst and around 12 weeks you should be back to normal. If you need to buy meals then do it - it's important that you eat and your bank balance will only suffer for a few weeks.

I had nausea non stop from 6 till about 10 weeks pregnant. I couldn't stand the smell of food in the fridge and lived on bananas, unbuttered toast, crackers, yoghurts and (surprisingly) ready made curries. Later it got better and I was (almost) back to normal eating. Hubby was buying himself whatever meals he fancied. We did spend a lot over those few weeks but I was back to cooking in no time.
  • Congratulations.

For me I had a few months in early pregnancy when all I could eat was plain crisps, digestives, buttered toast, mashed or baked spuds and boiled/grilled chicken. OH had to fend for himself and for DD1 when I was pregnant with DD2.

Stick to eating what you fancy and let your OH sort himself out. it will pass. I went from only tolerating bland food to craving curry.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
