TV / DVD Combi - invalid disc

Hi
Just recently my bush LCD tv DVD combi that I have in my bedroom won't play DVDs. It whirls and whizzes and eventually gives the "invalid disc" message. The discs work fine on the machine we have in he living room.
I've switched it off, tried to clean the lens, used one of those cleaning DVDs (just get the same message).
Is it a goner? What would be a ball park figure for repair? It's about 2 years old. Wondering if it would be worth trying or just cheaper to get a new one?
Any tips or tricks to remedy the problem would be gratefully received.
Thanks
BM

Sounds like a faulty lens, repairing it would probably cost more than just buying a seperate cheap dvd/tv0

Ok thanks guys. It's really just the kiddies that tend to watch DVDs, but thinking about it, they have a portable DVD for hols so I might be able to hook that up to the bigger screen. Finding Nemo here we come!Bossymoo
