EnergyHelpline: Check Numbers
I was comparing energy tariffs on energyhelpline and the numbers it gave for how much I could save were rather wrong (they said I could save about £400, when based on my own calculations it would cost about £100 more). I have contacted them about this and am currently awaiting a reply.
I would advise people to double check the numbers it calculates for your current usage as this was the one it got wrong.
I am currently on npower GoFix 11, but I also set it to be with other types (npower, EDF, etc) and it still calculated the current usage wrong. I am using the same method for the old and new tariff so am at a loss as to why I get different values.
As a sanity check I ran the same thing on some of the other compare sites and it came out correctly.

I would be happy to double check any numbers for you if you provide the details to do so
Note that the current tariff you are on is due to expire soon - it warns you of this on the EHL site.
EHL take this into consideration, but you can switch this off if you want and that should then give the savings most other sites will suggest
(which is actually incorrect as it assumes you would carry on paying what you currently do, yet the traiff is about to expire)0 -
That was exactly it, being too darn clever for its own good0
