I posted this on the benefits bored but didn't really get much info so am hoping to get some help here.

In April 2011 i applied for DLA was turned down and so i appealed never heard nothing for ages and just struggled on, then in September i was very poorly with my illness and almost died this has left me with lasting effects making my care needs and mobility needs greater than what they were in April 11 so when i was released from hospital i applied again for DLA (1st October 2012) a few days latter i had a date for my appeal had completley forgotten about it but attended an tribunal on 25th October and was awarded low rate care for indefinate period. In the lead up to xmas i ad not heard any thing about the claim i submitted on 1st October so i phoned them to be told that my claim had been put in storage by mistake and they would get it out and look at it again. After xmas i get a letter saying they had wrote to my gp asking for a report about my condition i then eventually get a letter on 25th January saying i had been awarded high mobility but no care from 1st October 2012. Since then i have not received any back pay for the mobility and not much other information only my award letter, and am really confused as i was awarded low care on 25th October going back to April 2011 but now been told from 1st October i wasn't entitled to it??? i have already had the money for this period so do i now owe them money as techicnally on the 25th October i was told yes low rate care but now they are saying no from the 1st you cant have it so really confused. Also would they have looked at the information from the tribunal when they decided to take my low rate care away? i did speak to some one from the dla on friday and he said that he whole case looked confusing and couldn't understand why i hadn't received a payment for my mobility and that i can ask for it to be looked at again which is what i have done but i have also requested a change of circumstances for the care part which i have to fill on or shall i not bother and just hope they over turn the decision?

Have you tried to ring them and ask? It sounds to me like they awarded you LRC DLA back to April 11 and paid that amount with the back pay indefinitely - has that money still been arriving every 4 weeks?
Then when you applied for DLA again - they have since awarded you HRM DLA as well. This should have been paid by now so you need to ring and ask them why you've not been paid. I suspect that you do have 2 current awards for both, but for some reason they have not linked up? Was the HRM DLA indefinte as well? If yes then it will get reviewed for PIP after OCT 2015. Ask them to check their records.

Unlike the poster above, I suspect that the second claim has been decided and that has given you HRM but no care component. This supersedes the tribunal decision that was made earlier (and is one of the risks of reapplying when you already have an appeal in progress).

Complete and utter madness doing that!!!
It gives the DWP the chance to have two bites at the same cherry!!
