Online databases: MS Access based or MySQL based

I've set up an online database using MS Access. and it works fine.

But with the Access it's more expensive than MySQL database hosting and less hosts support it.

Is there a way to convert across platforms? I've looked at the MySQL website and it's left me none the wiser.

Is there a program like Access to manipulate and create the code for MySQL.

There are a few applications on various platforms and web based scripts (such as phpMySql) to manage MySQL databases. It should be relatively straightforward to move your data over by exporting it form Access and importing into MySQL.

I agree. Export from Access your data as a CSV (Comma Separated) file and then import into MySQL after you've set up your database and tables.
