    Bizarre.

Surely there IS a need for secrecy if some of the publications contain unsubstantiated allegations or comments regarding private individuals and/or circumstances...?

But, like the other posters, I'm struggling to see what precise point the OP is seeking to highlight.

Is this a vent or a warning?
    It's a warning

The information has come to you piecemeal - and did wonder at the outset if this was problematic.

Many of us have never used the services of the Parliamentary Ombudsman and probably never will. But I have attempted to indicate the Parliamentary Ombudsman does not do what she claims to do - that is properly investigate Gov't Departments.

I will try to obtain further info. to fill in the missing pieces.

I'm guessing that English isn't your first language?

Are you warning us not to put our trust in the thoroughness of the Parliamentary Ombudsman?

I suspect the fact the government department cloak their behaviour and mistakes in a veil of secrecy will come to as a surprise to nobody. I remember the police being informed when an internal phone directory went missing!

News? Message? I see unsubstantiated allegations. Any evidence?

I'm warning you to beware the Parliamentary Ombudsman does not do what is stated on the website , nor operates the 3 principles as described.
The Parliamentary Ombudsman is also prepared to operate in secrecy with the Gov't Department it is supposed to be investigating.
I trust this answers other points raised.

Evidence has been forwarded to the Police.
The Ombudsman's office has an open invitiation to challenge the facts as laid down. I understand to date there has been no comment. Does that not tell you more than supporting evidence ?
Remember She and her office are paid out of your taxes.

I did wonder whether I/MSE would be sued - the wording 'fair comment' being applicable in this instance.

It tells me that they are probably simply ignoring the rantings of an obsessive :)

And if you posted untrue allegations, it would be you that was sued, not MSE.

    Fair Comment ..... :money:

    And so is this:-

Complaining about government services too difficult for too many, warns Parliamentary Ombudsman
The report by the Parliamentary Ombudsman, published today (12 December 2012), shows how difficult it can be for people to get their voice heard when things have gone wrong. It tells the stories of some of the many people who turned to the Ombudsman’s Service in the last year when all other attempts to get simple problems resolved had left them with nowhere else to go.

If the Parliamentary Ombudsman handled complaints better then perhaps it wouldn't have become so difficult. Parliament gave her statutory powers to deal with Gov't Depts.
