ATS Euromaster praise

Exhaust was sounding very noisy on the way home Friday night. Called into ATS and asked them to check it over to make sure it was safe to drive home.

They put it up on the ramps with no hesitation and after a few minutes, called me through and showed me what was wrong- the back box had corroded off the pipe. Gave me a quote for £56 to replace that and said they could do tomorrow (Saturday). I said the usual "don't know if it's convenient tomorrow, I'll get back to you" so I could get some quotes from other places.

Other places were around £75 for the same work, so called ATS at 8 the next day and got booked in for 1pm the same day. Took it there and was fitted within an hour, for the agreed price of £56. None of this "brakes/tyres/cat looking dodgy, you should get the whole lot replaced sir" business.

Top marks to ATS and now my car doesn't sound like it belongs on Southend seafront.

Depends what car you have where £56 is considered reasonable.

I went to my local ATS with a voucher for a half price air con recharge. I turned up at the allotted time and the place was packed so I had to wait about half an hour before they started the work.

They kept me supplied with coffee and because they'd kept me waiting they did the recharge for FREE. I didn't even mention discount or even hint at being disgruntled at having to wait and was quite taken back when they reused to accept payment.

They will definitely get my future custom.

Wow, that is impressive service, to be honest I tend to avoid these type of outlets because I just assume they will be awful, sounds like you have a really good one there

Reasonable compared to the other mentioned quotes of £75. I presume if they travelled to your area they could have got it for less than £56 :D but as we don't know where they are it may not be an option.
  • This was in Reading. The car was a 1.1 Saxo so yes, the price may have been slightly more inflated than getting it from ecp (£23) then taking it to an indie, but was convenient and imo reasonable for a chain. Service was top notch and I was shown exactly what they were going to do, before being offered plenty of free cappuccinos
