Life Insurance advice for single mum

Hi,
I'm a single parent with 2 children. My son is 12 & severly autistic. I have a 17 yr old daughter who lives & studies abroad at present. My question is concerning single parent life insurance...I just don't know where to start. I'm on limited funds, pay a mortgage on my house etc. I don't know what kind of life insurance I need, I just know that I would like to cover myself for the sake of my kids.

I think you should see an IFA. There are a number of factors you need to consider such as do you get life cover from work?(if you work), have you got the mortgage covered, will your son need support longer than normal etc.

I think you need a sit down with an IFA to discuss your options, cover trusts and let you know the costs.

Its the same as life insurance for anyone else, they dont do specific cover for single mums.

But i would suggest seeing a broker, they can check what is most important and put cover in place that fits in with your budget. I think there will be more that needs looking at than just life insurance but i could be wrong.
