Blackhorse loan PPI Reclaim

Hi everyone

My missus wants to start her application for PPI refund - we took the first step by ringing them, getting all the agreement numbers off them and the dates of the loans.

We then phoned up the PPI department, to which they have now sent us a questionnaire for each agreement out.

Now my questions are:

On the questionnaires it asks for details of job etc at time of loan - what if she doesnt fully know the detail, and it may not be 100% current?

Also do we send these questionnaires back or should be using a letter/ template off this site?

Anyone on here been successful with Blackhorse?

Thanks all :T

It doesn't have to be exact detail, most people forget details, especially if it was some time ago but be aware of the reason for the questionnaire, the whole point of the questionnaire is because they want to establish whether the job had sickness, accident cover at the time, I bet most of the questions are in connection with that, if you tell them there wasn't any cover at work at the time then they could try to use it as an argument in their favor for them to say you needed PPI, most jobs have some sort of cover, provision, statutory sick pay etc, so most people wouldn't have needed PPI, they know that very well but they hope to create what will probably be a false case against your claim with your answers.

Also should we send the questionnaire, or do we just ignore and send back some of the template letters on here??

Send the questionnaire with a cover letter reiterating main points of your claim.
  • Has anyone else had success in reclaiming from Black Horse??

    Hi Hughesy,

I had success with making a complaint against Blackhorse last year.

Fill your forms in as honestly as you can. Put down the reasons you believe you were miss-sold.
You may also have a valid reason if your insurance was single premium/front loaded onto the beginning of your loan from the outset. Did you pay just one payment each month for the loan and the insurance?

Yes all 1 payment - what does that suggest?

That your loans were combined with your PPI to attract more interest. Single Premium is still the most upheld complaint reason at FOS.
