HeatWise - Can you bypass it?.
I've got a heatwise tarrif - basically two meters and two standing charges. The heatwise tarrif is 8p per unit day and 4p per unit night.
My other meter is Economy 7 and is 9.5p per unit day and 3.5p per unit night.
As I only use hot water 1st thing for a shave and before bed for a shower I think I'm paying too much to have 'always hot' water and Heatwise is no longer the money saver it used to be, plus it's not very green either.
My idea is to somehow by-pass the heatwise meter and put my hot water cylinder on the normal meter and then on an old-fashioned timer to come/off when i want it to rather than during the day as it does now beyond my control.
Is this something an electrician must do or is it just a case of putting a plug on the end of the cylinder and plugging it id.
Any advice would be appreciated - by the way, I'm not an electrician!.

Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.
