Aside from the legalities of selling your vote, I can't see your listing lasting all that long

Very amusing though! My TV is broken!

Is it not illegal to sell your vote?
Seriously man, don't get yourself into any trouble over this. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -

I have no real intention of selling my vote, its just a protest.0 -
I'd remove it.
It would be just typical of the bullying authorities to pick on a soft tarhet such as yourself whilst the politicians get away with lying as a matter of course.0 -
I'd add my voice to the concerns. Whilst it is amusing your auction is illegal under UK law and will therefore be pulled by ebay and a warning placed on your account. That warning stays for ever, and too many in the course of your ebay career could come back and haunt you. That's before we even get into what the legal system would make of it.
Also, your feedback is bordering on the 'not good' so can you take a neg if someone bids as a joke on a throw away account just to protest about your lack of citizenship? It happens, believe me, voting is something some people feel strongly about and just might want to try and cause you worry.
You say you are busy with your exams, so concentrate on them instead as they will do you a lot more good in the long run than jokes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It is against the law to impersonate someone in order to vote.
But you may be able to apply to your local council and ask for a application for "to vote by proxy". which would mean you have giving your permission for someone else to cast a vote on your behalf. So you could add to listing, that at end of auction, you require the persons details and you will obtain a vote by proxy form in there name.
As to whether ur allowed to sell your vote, who knows.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
You gotta remove that listing before it gets a bid IMO. It's potential hassle you don't need, and could well be hugely punishable in theory.
Cash-for-votes just sounds wrong...0 -
That's the most pathetic thing I've seen in a long time. If you despise Labour so much then make some effort to learn what the alternatives are and use your vote that way.
The only thing slightly more disappointing is that people like you are allowed to go to University.
Yes, it is illegal to offer to sell your vote. I'd cancel the auction sharpish if I were you.0 -
That's pretty crushing. I can honestly say that none of the parties appear worth a vote to me right now.
I will be voting, however, because it is my right, but I don't anticipate my vote making any change to the staus quo.
If I'm missing something overwhelming about current politics, do feel free to enlighten me :rolleyes:My TV is broken!
