Car Tax refund blunder?

I'll cut to the chase here..
I renewed my car tax online last month to commence 1/2/13 and got my new disc shortly afterwards. In a moment of 'saving money' madness I decided that I'll 'SORN' the car instead to save some money so returned the disc on 30/01/13 for a refund.
However, now realise that this was a bit hasty so want to cancel the refund application and keep the tax on it.
The application would not have been processed as yet so can I go to a local DVLA office with my registration document/Insurance/Mot and get a replacement tax disc?
Feeling a bit of a numpty:o

I think your going to have to tell us the answer to this one.
I expect them to sell you a new disc and you will have lost money. Cashing the old one in.
Dont forget to let us know the answer.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
take tax/mot/v5 with you when you go to the DVLA office.
Either they will cancel your refund application and issue a replacemnt disk or they will let the refund go through and just sell you a new disc0 -

I took your advice and went to my local DVLA office in Bristol. Filled a form out, got replacement disc. Sorted!
NB: Just got to fax confirmation to Swansea that I wish to cancel the refund.0
