Surround Sound Headsets?

Hi all,

Unfortunately I've had to get rid of my surround sound system ... Bedrooms too small to make it practicable...

Soooo.. I'm looking for a set of GOOD surround sound earphones.

Are there headsets out there with the capability of 'creating a surround sound experience' with things that aren't originally DD5.1 etc... like the majority of AV receivers are capable with these days...

Also I'm looking for a pair that I can use for a variety of things.. TV, Xbox, Laptop etc... preferably with a detachable Microphone if it comes with one...

My knowledge on this area is limited, hence the idea to ask you guys.

MONEY- looking preferably for a set less than £150.. If possible closer the £100 mark... Which I assume isn't possible for what I'm looking for.

Good quality sound and comfy on the ears ^_~

Watch their are 2 versions! one like this which is a 5.1 headphone only and the other which has a built in USB soundcard.

but i think they might be xbox only.


For this type of high end purchase i would highly recommend staying well clear of Ebay and Amazon market place where fake headphones might be for sale. I have a £40 pair of Turtle beach phones and they are good on the xbox.

Maplins sell them for £130.
