How come no-one has mentioned Eritrea? That has to be my dream destination.

Just returned from tour of South Africa. Favourite places: Pilannesburg game reserve north of Jo'burg - all the wildlife you can shake a stick at; Drakensburg mountains on the border of Swaziland - stunning; St Lucia wetlands reserve up the coast from Durban - hippos gallore; Knysna on the Garden Route - lovely; Cape Town - such a cool place and there's that mountain.
If you are just going for a couple of weeks go to the Cape. There is enough to keep you occupied.
AND the exchange rate is brilliant at the moment ... so go!0
