Well that's what Jonny Davies (HPC superhero and general muppet) predicted on December 28th 2011:

Funnily enough, we've not seen a lot of old JD over the past 6 - 12 months, as his predictions grow ever more risible

I'd just like to ask everyone.
The so called property bears wished for a crash.
That would have ruined the bulls finances and caused hardship.
Now the battle has been won and prices stable/rising.
How do the bulls feel towards the bears?
Are you of the live and let live opinion or do you now want to see these doom mongers suffer?
Would you like to see them accept their lot and buy the correct FTB studio appartment or see them wait and get totally priced out of the housing market forever?
I'm actually would not like any of the bears as neighbours.
You certainly couldn't invite them round for a beer as you know they would secretly be wishing your house went down in value..We love Sarah O Grady0 -

And yet more sanctimonios drivel on a stereotypical "property bear" that probably hardly exists in the UK, and yet another post about HPC. The trouble I find with the pretend property Bulls(they believe in a crash more than anyone in truth) is that they search internet forums shouting down any argument that suggests there is a threat to property prices and treating those that talk about cheaper property as a one size fits all.
There are people who cannot afford a home but who work, there are people stuck in negative equity and cannot move to a bigger family home, and there are people who just think property is far to expensive, the are thousands of different reason why some might want cheaper property in the UK
There is nothing wrong with wanting a cheaper anything, whether it will happen is a differenet story.
And just as there is a selfish element in the "I want a crash" argument(and I am one of them), homeowners range from the lazy ponce who was handed an ex council property in a favourable area to the hard working couple who worked hard for years to get what they got. It is not the Good v's Evil like you are trying to turn this debate into, there is good argumets for both sides of the debate.0 -

I do find there is a really nasty jealousy to some of the bearish posts on here
Where's your imaginary property portfolio this week? Chelsea, Clapham, Hamersmith or Hounsow? Or have you just got out of jail and ended up in the Waterworks :rotfl:0 -

Nonsense from you yet again
No imaginary properties.
Main home is in Richmond (Surrey - not the grim North), a couple of BTLs picked up in Ealing in early 2009 (just at the bottom of the crash) and bought another near Clapham Junction in early 2011.
The BTL investments are each yielding between 7 and 9%, with capital returns of a similar level... and the best part is my tenants are paying the mortgages of for me !!
Lovely jubbly !!

I would feel very strange around someone who was wishing my house to drop in value. I'd also feel like that they might want to harm me or even kidnap me for a random. Seeing how some of the hpc chain gang behave they are certinally a v dangerous bunch0

I have never understood why people find the need to do this, and it has got worse with the internet.
Do they think even for only bursts that they will be given some kind of empty respect that they know deep down is unreal.
We had this guy once in the forces who was also a BS merchant, we were talking about our old nicknames at school, anyone that has knocked about with a bunch of mates will know that boys will never give someone a nickname that is in anyway not a put down or p*** take:)
But this one bloke tried to convince us he was called Tiger by some and Ace by some others:rotfl:
Boys just do not give names out like that.0 -
