Grit salt on block paving

Anyone know how to get rid of the salt/grit residue left on my block paving after salt/grit has been on my drive throughout the bad weather? Tried a harsh brush and water but it is still there :(

More water (eg pressure washer) or wait for it to dissolve and run off in the rain.

You need enough water to wash it away, not just dissolve it and let it crystallise out again.

Winters not over yet, leave it, we are bound to get another freeze up and your drive will be pretreated,:D:D

Actually, it may not be road salt at all.

It may also be efflorescence from the concrete paving blocks themselves.

How long have they been down?

You may be right, but it can show up any time, even 25years or more later given the "correct" ground conditions.

Regardless, it will weather/wear off. Brushing should be all that's needed as said.
