The deficit has gone up not down under this government - and Osborne has to borrow at astronomical levels to cover the mistakes he made by deliberately impoverishing the population - didnt he understand that outdated economic model cant possibly work in today's digital globalised world? Even the IMF have learned how foolish it is....
..ps and as for Clegg - still singing along, just when he was starting to improve in polls... I despair!

The deficit has gone down.
Why do you keep posting these lies on a forum that has a pretty sophisticated group on it and expect to get away with them?0 -

DLW misspoke, like Cameron
Or as wookie would say, a truly unfortunate use of words.

It's terrible really. It's the same thing as not understanding the difference between acceleration (rate of change) and speed (absolute level).
DLW finds child abuse funny as long as it's 'posh kids' being abused so I wouldn't hold your breath for any improvement. At least DC might learn from his mistakes.0 -

You have no idea what you're talking about.0 -
It has gone down but isn't it increasing now.
DLW claims it has gone down 'under this Government'.
I would take that to mean that (s)he is claiming that the deficit is higher now than in May (June?) 2010 when the current Government took over. Either that means DLW is too dumb to understand a simple mathematical concept or (s)he is an out and out liar. I think the truth lies in the middle of those statements.0 -
Deficit in financial year to April 2010, £155billion; deficit in financial year to April 2012, £121billion.
This year has been a bit more than it was to the same point last, but thing would have to get significantly worse before we get back to how it was when they took over.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
