Thank you satarical. Yes he does receive Attendance Allowance arranged by the Occupational Therapist when he was in hospital. He lives alone and has had some hand rails fitted. I'll have a chat with him as, from what you and others say, he may get a bit more - including the Pension Credit and associated benefits.
I appreciate all the advice given and I'll see what can be done to help.

He should also make sure that he is reassessed regularly by an OT as his needs may change and they can arrange for extra equipment as needed.
In this are they only come if you ask (and then take at least 3 months to arrive) I dont know about elsewhere.0 -

Thank you, gemini12. I don't think he has seen an Occupational Therapist since his hand rails were fitted - but I'll ask him.
