has anyone won prizes and it never arrive.
recently i have won 2 things at the end of november and beginning of december and not had either arrive. ive even checked if i entered before i moved to see if it had been sent to my parents. both companies have said they will look into it but not heard anything back for almost 2 weeks.
how often should i ask about where my prize is?
also how can i find out if it been lost in the post as my postman now only delivers once a week and ive been expecting a few things that never arrived not even been getting junk mail

Have you contacted your local sorting office to let them know what's happening?0

I won a daily with Woman's Own on 19th October, waited 28 days but it never arrived. Have messaged on Facebook and by email every 10 days or so and keep getting fobbed off. Last email was 21st Jan so will be starting again with them on Monday!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I usually wait a month before my first follow up email, usually that's enough to jog their memory. If not then every couple of weeks after that.
Thankfully I've only ever had to pester one company really badly, and once I was referred to someone higher up it got sorted quickly. :T0 -
Yes, a bottle of Bacardi Oakheart
I have emailed the Bacardi webmaster several times and another contact email address and have had no replies. Other people have posted on the FB page about missing prizes!0 -
I would email once more (maybe when the two weeks are up) stating that if you don't hear back by such a date then you will have to refer the issue to the IPM.
From the comping guide:7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.
If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.
The Institute of Promotional Marketing complaints@theipm.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star. Please note, the IPM was formerly known as the Institute of Sales Promotion (name change in May 2010) however, the contact info does not appear to have changed.
The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.
I had an issue with a prize not turning up & after chasing politely for 5 months, I mentioned that I had been advised to talk to the Institute of Sales Promotions about the matter. Funnily enough that resulted in a letter of apology within a few days, along with a box of ‘Apology Goodies’ & my prize turned up 2 weeks later. Just remember to keep your cool & remain polite.
I would also be contacting Royal Mail as to why you are only having your post delivered once a week!2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
I would email them again or if they have a Facebook account, post a message on their wall telling them you still haven't received your prize & you're getting worried and feel disappointed as you were really happy to win. I find that i usually get a quick response via the company Facebook wall as they don't like the bad publicity! I'd also contact Royal Mail - your postie should be coming more than once a week!2012 - £350.88
