Help with Switching

You could ring them now and ask them to send you the money you are in credit or you can switch suppliers, wait for your final bill from your current supplier, which will show you exactly how much you are in credit at that point. They should then transfer the money direct to your bank account.0

I think Scottish Power pay their refunds by cheque ... or at least they used to.
If you are switching, I would just wait for them to provide your final bill and then look forward to the refund

Hi Camas Wywth is right we do issue refunds by cheque but this will be after transfer and we received readings from your new supplier. I would recommend that you provide meter readings to the new supplier so that the transfer is as accurate as possible. I am the official company representative of Scottish Power. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Yoiu don't have to 'claim' it, your final bill will reflect any credit owed to you.No free lunch, and no free laptop
