£60k to invest

I have £60k to invest as a result of my share of selling our house after separating from my partner.
I am currently renting and dont intend to buy a place for about 12 months until I see what way the housing market goes.
Therefore I am looking for the best way to save this money for the next 12 months.
I am in full-time employment and would be paying standard tax rates. Also, I DONT need instant access to the money.

Personally I would put the cash in high interest instant access account until at least May 10th when the BOE rate is announced then look for the best Fixed rate 1year savings bond with one of the building societies.
You don't want to go for a fixed rate for a few weeks because if the BOE rate is increased it can take a few weeks after a rate rise for the institutions to increase their rates.
Birmingham Midshires seem to be offering decent fixed rates ATM.0 -
12 months isnt enough time to invest. Stick to savings accounts unless you are extreme high risk in nature.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
