Bedroom Tax

We learnt yesterday that as we have a 2 bedroom Social housing home, we will lose some housing benefit as we are a couple.
I am registered disabled and my wife is my full time carer.
We have documentation from doctors and professionals that state we have to have separate rooms due to my ailments but apparently this still wont help us?? any advice please

I believe one of the main exemptions for those with disabilities will not help you to achieve full HB.

A disabled tenant or partner who needs non resident overnight carer will be allowed an extra bedroom. This doesn't seem to apply in your case as your carer lives in.

Look into applying for discretionary housing payment which might not be granted and is likely to be temporary in nature.
