I like to think that im on top if things and getting a good deal.
In December i switched from BG to EDF's Blue Promise 2014. Saving me in the region of £280. (no exit penalty either)
December i used way more gas and electric than usual and have continued to do so these last 3 weeks (been off ill).
Having watched the Tonight show just now, im curious and after opinions. Should i shop around just now for a better deal including cashback sites (just started using) or go with the flow for say another few months to get a better quote?
Off track i know but whilst im in contract for my mobile, good deal for phone and Broadband and Sky half price for a year, im left wondering where i can save more money. Home Insurance and car insurance, however, the home insurance started in October so i would get an exit fee no doubt. Car insurance is up in April, so i can shop around in March.

In principle, you should shop around at regular intervals, when if the cashback and savings exceeding the amount you would pay with an exit fee working out sensibly - switch.
There is no good reason to wait - unless you are locked into a electricity rate that is lower than is available in the market.
Even then - do the numbers.
If you're saving .5p/unit, if you get 80 quid cashback, you need to use 16000 units to make that up.
Even if you have a 40 quid exit fee, you still need to use 8000 units, so switching may be wise.0 -
Thanks, did a comparison and im currently cheaper by £40 odd the way i am just now.
Will do one for car insurance, but just to check?
PS If i have bad credit scoring, should i maybe hold off doing another check?Does price comparison make a dent in my credit score??0
