Santander, partially successful claim

Hello,
I have been successful with Santander (A&L) with regard to my claim in that they say I didn't have sufficient information to make a good assessment of whether PPI was relevant to my needs. However, they amount they have offered me only equates to the the number of statements I have been able to find (January 2002 - March 2003 (MBNA took over then).
Obviously I was paying PPI before this time, as the account was open prior to this time. However they do not hold records going back that long, and I do not have statements.
Should I just accept their offer?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.

The requirement is for them to refund what can be proven that was paid. If they hold no statements then they need to use the ones you can supply.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
