Amazon Cloud

Has anyone use Amazon Cloud? I am trying to upload photos as an extra backup and I try to upload by 'folder' after installing the app on my PC and it just does not work. I had thousands of photos to upload and if I cannot upload via 'folder' it will take hours upon hours and will be a messy muddle on the Cloud.
Any tips please?
Thank you in advance.

It works ok for me. I just dragged a 524Mb folder of images on to the icon and it's uploading fine.
Is your firewall blocking the program?
How big is the folder?
How much space have you on Amazon Cloud? (you get 5Gb for free)Laters

Don't forget how fast is his BB upload speed!
It takes about 6 seconds for a 5mb file to upload on a 10mb upload (I'm on VM's 120 down, 10 up cable), so if you've got a lot of largish files on most connections it's going to take a long time.
I've replied to the thread in the BB section in more detail.0 -

I have the 5gb for free and currently have all 5gb free as I cannot upload anything.
Perhaps it is Firefox? Maybe I should try Chrome?
I am trying to upload one folder as a tester and not sure of the size but it has 10 photos in it that. I previously uploaded these to Facebook so I had to reduce the size for Facebook upload, so it is not a large folder.Since 1st January 2013:-

Are you saying that you can upload a file OK, but you can't upload a folder structure full of files?
I don't have the cloud app, but one workaround might be:
* on your local computer, "ZIP" up the folder structure first (either with a zipping application or right-click on the folder and select "Send To", then "Compressed (Zipped) Folder")
* this should create a zipped file which has the folder structure within it. You can then upload that as a single file.
However the disadvantage of this workaround is that if you want to add a single photo, you'd have to upload the whole lot again.
Edit: Just saw your comment about Firefox. Do you have any plug-ins that block adverts or anything of the sort? I reckon trying another browsrer might help. You might try Internet Explorer, just this once

It should not matter WHAT Browser you are using since it has it's own program!
Start the Amazon Cloud program
You should get a box pop up on your screen saying "Drag contents here"
If not go to the task bar next to the time and look for the cloud icon and double click it.
Open Windows Explorer
browse you your folder of files
drag that folder onto the window
wait for a few hours till it all uploads...Laters
