Viagogo - Wrong Seats

Hi All,
I am after some advise.
I ordered tickets (x3) for an Andr! Rieu gig in Birmingham. Got the tickets no problem. We paid extra for seat almost front and centre got their and found out we had seats at the very back at the side.
I rang them up on the day and they gave me the Viagogo Promise.
However after emails back and fourth they have said:
Should I take the offer I paid a little over £400 pounds for the tickets.
Not sure where I stand? Should I contact financial-ombudsman? Section 75?

'Buyers are guaranteed to get the tickets they paid for in time for the event. In the rare instance that a problem arises, viagogo will provide similar or better tickets, or in the worst case a full refund.'
However after emails back and fourth they have said:
As compensation, we would like to offer you a partial refund of £225, which you can choose to receive either on the payment method you paid with, or a voucher for double the amount that would be valid for a year from receipt.
Please be advised we cannot increase this offer. We very much apologise that you received the wrong tickets however you could have returned them for a full refund. As they have been used this is the most we can offer. If you do not want to accept this we can give you an address you can write to.
Should I take the offer I paid a little over £400 pounds for the tickets.
Not sure where I stand? Should I contact financial-ombudsman? Section 75?

My gut feeling says no. You may not bave known they were at the back. I can imagine they were like Block A, B or C and then Row YA, YB, etc as I have knowledge of the arena
Once there what can you do, go home, not know or stay and think what can I resolve on this. Its stress stress full feeling and upsetting while at an event.
Contact the financial ombudsman and see where that goes. If it doesn't go anywhere then go back and claim for VGG.
I'm a seller of tickets across all secondaries like VGG and and appalled other sellers can get away with this. They are trying it on Used or not, you didnt get what you played for.
Dont reply at all to VGG. Just go to FO and see their opinion first0 -
How did you get on with this jmorley88?
From my knowledge, I have used them and would say to look at your viagogo order details, if you only see the block and no row details, take the partial refund as its quite generous, or if you feel like a gamble, buy some really expensive tickets for a show you want to go to, or buy and sell them back on there or somewhere to get more than the cash refund?
Alternatively if it did have details e.g. 2x Block A - Row A I would follow sb65 advice.
I also agree after using them, there are still people who try sly ones, and it should not be happening, thats the reason why these sites have been set up with premium fees to deter people from scamming etc.0 -
Not so good after a lot more poor customer service they have offered my £290 which is the face vales of the cheap seat we didn't want.
The tickets specified the exact seats an we were in the complete wrong area never mind the block.
The manger should give me a ring today. However I have rang over ten time and only once been called back. So i'm not hold my breath.
The reason they cant refund the full amount is because the tickets are used even though we found out on the day at the gig that they were wrong.
Called them from the wrong seats and were assured that we were covered by the viagogo promise and would be fully refunded if the tickets were wrong.
If we knew we were going to lose £260 I would of got up and left and claimed the full refund we were with two elderly people and they could not see the stage.0 -
Lol well there you go hun, door to door service or forum to forum should I say lol.
