Hi. Anyone know who's offering the best price on Euro's just now.
I'm off to Mallorca in 10days and would like to get as many as possible for my very hard earned £notes.
Last year, on here, I was advised to use M&S and I was very happy with that deal.
Hoping you can all help me again this year.
Many thanks in advance. Pyanno

Standard advice is to get your cash with a debit card at an ATM when you get there. Even the most highly charging card will still be slightly better than you would get at M&S, who are probably still the best on the High Street.
There is also the possibility of Travelex - you order and pay for it on line and pick it up at the airport. However the card you pay for it with may charge a fee - some do, some don't.0 -
checked the euro machine in tesco today and the rate was 1.42 commission free, any amounts straight from the cash machine.0

I have a Nationwide Debit card which I intend to use in Italy for cash withdrawals. Nationwide say they do not charge for cash withdrawals overseas but I would like to ask does the bank which provides the atm in Italy charge for the facility.
Many thanks

Thanks dzug.
I didn't want to use my credit card in the reort because of the charges incurred last year. I hadn't realised I could use my debit card (doh)so this is good news.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -

This sounds interesting. I may get enough from Tesco for the first couple of days then top it up in the resort using my debit card as suggested by dzug.
I never have time to research so consequently usually end up paying out through the nose . . . OUCH. So thanks to you both for your help, much appreciated.
