Anybody know where I can get this plant, apparently cats love to roll about in it? I suppose it is like cat nip. Have seen seeds but would prefer plant , too impatient. Thanks

Catmint and Catnip are the same thing, although Wild Catmint (Nepeta cataria) is the real mccoy as far as catmint goes, also (Nepeta x faassenii). It also gets called Catnip and Catnep.
Don't buy what garden centres often call catmint (Nepeta mussinii) or garden catmint if you want it for anything other than pleasing the cats as it's not the proper kind, although the cats will still happily roll around on it and wreck it
True Catmint can also be used in cooking, although it is an acquired taste and has some medicinal properties as well. You can find it in some garden centres in the perennials section, but make sure it isn't (Nepeta mussinii) if you want proper catmint. Plants can also be bought online from Jekka Mcvicar, Pontzfield Herb Nursery and a few other herb nurseries as well. Holler if you need any more help finding some?

Don't bother buying plants, it grows ridiculously quickly! I sowed some seeds on Sunday and I've already got nearly 2" tall plants! It's labelled as cat grass, I think it's the same...
EDIT: actually, have looked at the website of the seed company and apparently what I've got is 'avena sativa'DFW stats:

I think cat grass is not the same as cat mint - we grew both.
Cat grass looks like normal grass, grass whereas the catmint looks a more like the trad mint plant.
Brian (Yes that is his name!) can't be bothered with the grass, but stripped the cat mint down to the ground last year - amazed it's grown back at all this year, we had to keep it covered though!!It's not a light at the end of the tunnel, it's a man with a torch and more jobs
