Faulty goods

I am having problems in getting a full refund for a faulty radiator that has only been in use for 14 weeks. The company keep trying to fob me off, saying they only have to replace it, this is not right, I am entitled to a full refund. How do I get them to pay up?

  • Unfortunately you are wrong. THe company can repair, replace or refund, it's their choice.

    You're not, and you can't. As above, you're "entitled" to a remedy, one of repair, replacement or refund (potentially partial).
  • Yes, I think all are right. And if you don't want to use that replaced Radiator then you can sell it to some one else. But company will not give you money back. They can only repair or replace and you are lucky that the company is ready to replace.

    They are certainly not 'lucky'. If a company sells faulty goods, they have to sort it out.
  • According to Martins web site I am entitled to a full refund as the radiator is not fit for purpose and has not lasted a reasonable amount of time.

    Actually, according to martins website:
    If something's faulty - in other words it breaks the Sad Fart rules - returning it speedily is crucial.

    Within four weeks. You can usually still get a full refund as you're unlikely to be seen as having 'accepted' the goods. After that only expect exchange, repair or part-refund.
