Printer woes..... help!!

Hi,

I've recently taken delivery of a new Dell PC, which came with a Dell All-in-One 922 printer.

Until yesterday i had only used the printer to scan, which it did fine. Last night i tried to print for the first time, and got an error message stating that the printer wasn't communicating with the pc (or words to that effect). I've tried all the suggested troubleshooting tips, uninstalling/reinstalling software, restarting pc, trying a different usb cable, but to no avail.

Any suggestions would be very welcome, as i'm pulling my hair out at the mo!!

I bought a Dell PC about a year ago and got a Dell printer with it (not sure what type though), and had the same problem - the usb cable would'nt work for some reason and we had to use one of the parallel printer leads - the lead that looks like the scart lead for a tv.

Thanks for the advice, but this printer only has a usb port!
