I bought a cheap one from Big W a few years ago. I think it was branded RAC and cost something like £20. After one go at jacking the car it was back in the box and back for a refund.

I had one of those too. I thought it was ok until I lent it to my polish neighbour one day. Next day I went to use it and it wouldn't pump at all - something inside was wasted. I assume he did his usual trick of leaving it to hold the car up all afternoon as it was totally shot. I kid you not, even standing on the handle it wouldn't go down and pump anything it was so stuck.

I went and bought a decent Taskmaster 3T jack (a big heavy thing you see in any decent garage) and it's been superb. Heavy, PITA to lift but by god I have a lot more confidence in it.

I'll never touch one of those cheapy things again. They're absolute garbage.

With that litttle jack i do hope you call for an ambulance 1st.

As you attempt to jack the rear you will be pulling the front off the ramps.
Also the lift amount will be small. Its OK for changing a wheel not much else.

7.5" lift thats all.. You will lose a couple of inches of that to take the slack up also.

You want proper tools for the job. You will just be wasting your money.
Spend a ton of time anr/or money trying to make it do what you want.

Not sure what you're getting at there.. I can't see any jacks linked on this thread with 7.5" lift.

If you're commenting on the 3001LE I posted.

It's greater or equal to the clark in most departments. http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.asp?id=20&method=mViewProduct&productid=4662

It's got a 95mm entry rather than 120mm of the clark.. An inch can make a wolld of different on lowered cars.

The castor wheels are supported which much beefier parts than the clarke,

Overall weight is more or less the same at 38kg. So what jack are you referring to?
