Children's fancy dress costume

We've been invited to a young child's fancy dress party with an animal theme and I have no idea what to dress my 2 year old as! I don't really want to spend a lot of money and don't have a great deal of time to make a masterpiece, so any suggestions would be greatly received:)

do you have either white top and leggings, or black ones/brown ones? If you do, your 2-year old could be a sheep, a cow, or a horse in no time . White outfit with a wad of cotton wool for a tail, and draw or download a paper sheep mask to cut out and colour.

Horse or cow - same-colour outfit, with a dark coloured belt or a sash tied around the waist and trailing down the back for a tail, draw or download and cut out paper mask.

Or a cat - no mask needed - black leggings/top tail pinned on and a headband with some ears stuck on - then face paint some whiskers and a nose

Or a cat if you have black leggings and t-shirt, green for a frog, pink for a pig. An alice band and some coloured/painted card can make all manner of ears and egg box pots make great noses!

Thanks for those - unfortunately my 2 year old is a boy, I showed him them and he said "no way! Girls clothes"

If he is a really boyish boy, do ypu have anything you can make wings from? All black cloths and wings with face painted huge eyes for a fly?

Or a couple of pairs of black tights stuffed to make four extra limbs to be a spider?
