I can assure you, it's normal practice for LAs to do this now.
Window cleaner you've never done business with before knocks on the door and offers to clean your windows next week. You say yes.
He asks for the cash (no receipt or paperwork) so of course you hand it over. He says "thanks, see you next week." and ......
OK - not a direct parallel, but the principle is similar.0 -
ok it's done - worrying few hours but contract signed and keys obtained! I managed to do some final checking on the agent and found there has never been any issues with them and they have dealt with alot of properties. Wouldn't want to do it like this again though!!0
