Amazon market place refunds

I recently returned an item to a marketplace seller confident that I would get the cost of the item AND the original postage to me. I knew I would bear the cost of returning the item as it was not faulty just ridiculously small.

The Amazon marketplace refunds policy says this:

"Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the first 7 business days after delivery and there's been no error on the Seller's part, the Seller will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you"

I am now being told that as the item is not faulty I am not entitled to the postage refund. I think the above says something different. Am I wildly wrong somehow?
Thanks

If you informed of the order return within 7 days, you are entitled to a postage costs refund.

I just don't understand why they do this, you will just give them a bad rating which will deter others. Not smart on the sellers part.

Yep I did. I'd posted it back within 2 days. This is why I'm so confused. I have mailed amazon again and told them I won't buy from them again until they sort it to my satisfaction. It's not looking good though. :(

Did you get in touch with the seller or Amazon before posting it back?

Yup. They have refunded the cost of the item less the postage charge.

Oh yeh, they are not getting a good rating from me. ;)

Just to let you know what happened and encourage you all to stand your ground. I e-mailed Amazon about it saying I was disappointed that their own terms and conditions seemed to be false and that my confidence in the company was shaken. I said I would not use them again until it was settled in a satisfactory manner. I got my postage refunded. ;)

Can't you just open an a-z claim?
Amazon are often too quick in refunding buyers when the marketplace is concerned so email amazon themselves and they will probably sort it
