Pre-2001 Debenhams Underwriters for PPI claim

Hello lovely moneysaving peeps.

I've trailed though the forums and, although people have asked, I cannot see an answer as to who was the underwriters for Debenhams pre-2001. I am aware Santander now hold 'the cards' but has anyone successfully discovered who the underwriters were? This is for a PPI claim.

it could be cardif pinnacle, it could be genworth, it could be someone else. its unlikely to get anywhere as the underwriter isnt responsible for the sale.

I am not 100% but think it maybe Genworths.

I dealt with Santander in regards of GE Cap bank, and was informed by these at the time it was Genworths, but as in your case being Debenhams, I would ask Santander who should be able to confirm who to you, as it may not be Genworths.
