Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

He's studying geography at the moment, (but has just told me last night that the modules he has at the moment are just awful and he's totally disinterested in the subject now, and he's wishing he had chosen history instead!). Bu that's another issue.

He sent out hundreds of CVs when he was home last summer (and I do mean hundreds!) to local companies just to enquire if they needed someone to do database work etc or anything similar, but no avail. There were some vacancies for Sainsbury's but the advert was gone half an hour later! I did enquire in the store, and the manager did tell me that the advert doesn't stay on their website for long.

He used to be a member of Boys Brigade so has some experience of organising discos and charity events etc from when he did that.

He's also very good at writing. When he was younger, he used to write stories, the sort that you get in Marvel comics. (He's got a huge collection of these!)

If he has any skills such as knowing how to setup websites etc he could always try and freelance over the summer. Offer to do so for local companies
