Redundancy, Jobseekers and Income Insurance.

I'm looking for some advice please. I've been told i'm being made redundant from April. I'll get about £1000 redundancy payment. I also have income insurance that will payout about £300 a month to cover my loan and CC repayments. What i wondered was if me getting the income insurance payments will affect whether i can claim JA, and whether my husbands income will affect how much i get, if anything at all? He earns about £28k PA.

If you have been paying National Insurance for the last 2 years you are entitled to Contributory JS for 6 months - it makes no difference how much money you have in the bank as it is not means tested.Don't Panic - and carry a towel
