CONSUMER POWER...ASDA UNFAIR PCN's!!!

After receiving one of these PCN notices early January 2013 when shopping at Asda in Shipley by TCP - Town & City Parking....i am annoyed that total disregard for the consumer is being shown by the very company preaching " customer service"!!

Its high time consumers voted with their shopping choice...and TOTALLY STOP shopping at Asda nationwide!

Consumers on many occasions have collectively bought down "prime" retailers, who thought they were "Too Big To Fail".
Big names have fallen in the past for many reasons. Once again the common denominator being the CUSTOMER. You only have to look at the likes of Comet, HMV, Blockbusters, MFI, SCS, Dolcis, Rosebys, Whittard, Zavvi, Marconi, Claims Direct, Dixons, Woolworths etc. There are many more examples.

I have stopped shopping at Asda since they issued me with a notice, couple of weeks ago, and so has my family and colleagues that i have told!

They already trail market share, and current quarter to January 20, 2013, they are well behind in sales numbers of Tesco, who are at 3.3%.

YOU have the power...You have the choice...YOU can make them change their policy..then YOU can sit back and watch another big prime retailer hit the dust!!

CONSUMER POWER...IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE!!

ASDA couldn't care less to be frank. They have a CEO who ignores the problem and never responds - yes, YOU Mr Andy Clarke and staff that purposely lie about the ownership of the car parks. A company that is rotten and corrupt from top to bottom.

To be fair, i wrote to the CEO, Andy..and his executive office did respond pretty efficiently.
They cancelled my PCN as a "good will gesture"!!

I appreciated the gesture..BUT its not good enough! Why should i be happy with my headache out of the way, when my fellow colleagues are having to suffer!

This is a subject that the internet is awash with forums full of consumers who supposedly save a few quid on their shopping (bet they don't!), BUT THEN GET STUNG WITH A £80 CHARGE!!

Its obviously obvious to any business, regardless how big you are..if you choose to separate the relationship with the very customer that has given you the market share to compete and open new branches....once you stop showing the respect for the customers loyalty to your stores...you will fail, like any other business that fails to adapt!

I have been involved with global economics since circa 17 years. I am an active shares, CFD and financial spread better. I trade daily, with regular positions in FTSE 100 stocks on margin with high leverage.
I have many a times predicted the share price collapse on back of falling numbers with lack of direction from heads of organisation. This morning, i made an absolute belter with my short position on AZN.
I have seen on numerous occasions the inability of CEO's to adapt to consumer needs/wants, resulting in share price collapses!
TRUST ME when i say, NO INSTITUTION can survive without a customer base..absolutely NONE, ZILCH!!
Size of the organisation doesn't matter...revenue numbers from Q1 to Q4 will reflect a failing business, loss of market share...resulting in a need of policy change!

    Its simple....NO CUSTOMER...NO BUSINESS!!... = ADMINISTRATION!
    Stay together, we win...no question!!

Mr Andrew Clark..we await your input.

The PPc issue at supermarkets is bigger than you think, if your not using ASDA due to TCP/whatever they are clling themselves then theres always Tesco and highview parking, Sainsburys and euro car parks and so on.
The only way forward is to complain, about it, and praise those few supermarkets that are free of the PPc blight.

However for the majority of customers its a non issue ( until they get stung) and if 60% of people pay up its even less of an issue.

And I realy do beleive that the supermarkets etc realy do not care one bit, as long as it doesnt hurt their bottom line, and doesnt generate real legitimte bad press /PR and not just the usual media stories about "shoppers fury of Asda parking fine" type coverage.

Why have I never had a problem with supermarket car parks?

It's all very well boycotting ASDA, but you then need to replace them with another supermarket. Most use PPcs, so therein lies the problem.

It's the same thing when Mobile networks raise their charges half way through a contract. People on that network get upset and threaten to move. But they are all at it, so it becomes a merry go round.

Mr Cashback - since these companies also ticket those who use disabled bays (as it is company policy to do so) you only seem to be having a rant at getting the ticket, and not the reasons why they thought it necessary to give you one?

I've seen some pretty inconsiderate parking in supermarket car parks and something needed to be done - what happened in your case?

Probably because you only park there whilst your are shopping at the supermarket.

The Tesco car park in Slough for example, is right in the town centre, with 3 hrs free. Even in this Tesco, which is one of the largest in Europe, anyone could do their shopping in 3 hrs so there should never be an issue.

However, so many park there and go into town. Without some kind of deterrent (albeit an empty threat of 'fines'), it would be virtually impossible for genuine Tesco customers to park there.

Possibly because you do not comply with the conditions?

Never had a problem at Morrisons supermarket.
I know the other stores are stinging their consumers too.

Ofcourse it makes a difference! Collectively, we are a union...sitting on the fence and assuming it won't make a difference, is not the way forward.

Let your family, friends and colleagues know about the risk they are taking. I have kept the PCN notice to show them, with the images of the ENTRY & EXIT camera's!!

It pays dividend all the time...cos, like me, they didn't know of the camera's and the risk!

    REMEMBER...STAY TOGETHER, WE WIN...NO QUESTION!
