Never had a problem at Morrisons supermarket.
I know the other stores are stinging their consumers too.

Ofcourse it makes a difference! Collectively, we are a union...sitting on the fence and assuming it won't make a difference, is not the way forward.

Let your family, friends and colleagues know about the risk they are taking. I have kept the PCN notice, with the images of the ENTRY & EXIT camera's!!

It pays dividend all the time...cos, like me, they didn't know of the camera's and the risk!

    REMEMBER...STAY TOGETHER, WE WIN...NO QUESTION!

So why did you get a ticket?

The town where my local store is is not so much a problem as there's lots of free parking. An asda in the next town is right next to the bus station for the bus into Manchester, they have to have parking attendants etc or else they find that all the commuters that catch the bus into Manchester park on there all day, thus making it difficult for genuine asda shoppers to park.

And I think you will find that every supermarket has the attendants/ cameras etc. Near me both the big tesco stores are camera controlled and the local morrisons has a barrier, you have to pay to use the car park and claim it back off your shopping!

Yes i agree Mr Buzbee..there are many inconsiderate drivers.
We have kids and sometimes see customers without children park on these spots!!

I do agree there are issues..but there must be another way forward.
Single, Bright, Transparent Notices, with a SUPERMARKET PCN issued with camera evidence of..no children, or no disable badge etc!!...

..i don't know! We should be able to come up with a better idea, not to upset the majority.

Mine was a 30 minute overstay of the free 2 hours, on back of car starting problem!

Its sorted now, but this is not about me..its about all of us, or those who feel their loyal custom is being ignored!

I have subsequent emails to the CEO/executive team, who are trying to brush the subject aside!
    This is not on..end off!

    They have a mantra...well here's mine:
    "STAY TOGETHER, WE WIN...NO QUESTION!"

Probably because you only park there whilst your are shopping at the supermarket.

The Tesco car park in Slough for example, is right in the town centre, with 3 hrs free. Even in this Tesco, which is one of the largest in Europe, anyone could do their shopping in 3 hrs so there should never be an issue.

However, so many park there and go into town. Without some kind of deterrent (albeit an empty threat of 'fines'), it would be virtually impossible for genuine Tesco customers to park there.

And the Asda in question regarding this thread is also snack bang in the town centre.
Now, whilst the OP rants at Asda, part of the agreement when Asda extended the car park and had the time limit INCREASED to 3 hours was that Joe public shopping else where could also use the Asda car park.

The OP got a ticket not because of Asda but the scammers, TCP.
Yes, Asda have some responsibility, but as we have seen recently TCP seem to be doing what they want, not what the client has to do.

It wasn't a 2 hour limit though. The scammers imposed that. Asda have a minimum 3 hour limit there.

Re: the CEO. Assuming you used Andy.Clarke@ then you haven't emailed him. All you did was send it to a false one set up to be intercepted by the exec team support.
The problem at Asda lies below exec level. Specifically the guy TCP named as the Parking Manager.
He has had chapter and verse regarding the problems with TCP but refuses to reply. If the DVLA do the right thing then he will find the pressure increasing.

    Thought so.

    That's not his email address.

Fair enough to complain about supermarkets using private companies to run their carparks, however what's the point in getting stressed out about it?

These are 'parking charge notices' from private companies: they are worthless unenforceable bits of toilet paper.

These companies have no legal power whatsoever, would you pay up if a pigeon sent you a bill for $hitting on your cars roof?
Then don't pay these people, IGNORE the 'ticket' IGNORE all letters.

Only a court can impose a fine and you may rest assured these companies ain't taking you to court.

Their entire business model is based on mugs paying up for these false tickets.
Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.

I thought you'd had problems finding a disabled bay free...or was that just for the sake of discussion?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
