I don't regularly take vitamins, but in the winter I have these chocolate chews with calcium and Vitamin D in, because obviously there's less sunlight to help Vitamin D in the winter.

I also occasionally have a Berocca, especially if I'm super busy or hungover!

Berocca is great for a hangover ;)

Obesity can lower vitamin D levels in the body, a study suggests.

Sorry but i wouldn't recommend buying low cost supplements, if there is one thing that's worth spending money on it's good supplements. From someone in the know i'd just like to let you know that the only reason they are cheap is becuase they are synthetically made from things like petrochemicals, your body then can't absorb them properly...it just creates expensive wee( sorry!) Also anything synthtic will say eat with food on the label.

    .

Also anything synthtic will say eat with food on the label.

Well my holland and barratt ones say that and so do superdrugs own brand, also boots own brand and centrum.
I'd always understood vits need to be taken with food as that is when they will be absorbed, when the food is being digested.

Not sure but my Multibionta does not say it, it says take with a cold drink.
Hubbies Natures Own multi vit and mineral does not say take with food either, they just say not as a substitution for a varied diet.

Cleggy, I think you should definitely try Solgar - it's a great vitamin brand. You will like their Vitamin C capsules.

I'm currently overdosing myself on vitamin C (which I know will probably have a detrimental effect) but I was ill for 2 months with on-off colds/tonsillitis/glandular fever and I'm only just getting better yet everyone around me either has tonsillitis or a sickness bug and I get scared of being ill.

You are replying to a post that's one year old, rather pointless now.

Plus the poster appears to have been PPR so is unlikely to respond. Btw, it's a spam post so should be reported as such as I did when I spotted it this morning.
