Florist Refund

Hello,
Could you tell me my rights on this:
I went to order some flowers today 31/1/13 @ 10.30 for my wedding on the 7th of Feb - I placed the order and went home.
I the phoned my friend who told me she was organizing the flowers! Great I thought I just ordered some!!
I phoned up the shop today 31/1/13 @ 14.30 and explained the situation and asked for a refund, but was told that all they could do was issue a credit note?
The flowers have not been made or ordered in as it was only 4 hours between me ordering them and calling for a refund?
Do I have to accept a credit note?
Thanks
John

Why not get your friend to use the credit note? One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

My friend has already ordered and paid for them at another florist.0 -
They are within their rights to offer this. You have no statutory rights in a change of mind situation, so they are going above and beyond to offer you a credit note. Unless they have advertised a different returns policy to you before you purchased, you are stuck with the credit note I'm afraid!0
