State Pension letter

I'm due to begin receiving State pension shortly and today got a letter giving dates and amounts.

Everything is in order but on the statement of details (how pension is made up) it says Attendance Allowance/Disability Living Allowance - to be paid with State pension £NIL.

I do get DLA Higher Rate Mobility so does this simply mean it will continue to be paid but separately from the State pension?

DLA and AA are paid separately from state pension.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Yes, as cattie said, they are paid separately. My DH gets his pension weekly on a Monday, and his DLA 4 weekly on a Tuesday.

Hope you enjoy a long and happy retirement. :)

Yes, I agree with the others.

My OH gets his SP every 4 weeks on a Friday and DLA every 4 weeks on a Tuesday.

    Happy retirement.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Thanks guys! It's not really retirement as such as I've not been able to work for many years due to disability.

Just seemed strange that it said on the statement of details a nil amount of DLA to be paid WITH the State Pension if it always gets paid separately.

    Thanks for clarifying though.

because up till recently, there was an option to combine DLA/AA with new State pension claims but this has stopped, but the existing claiment who get DLA/AA combined this carries on until there is a break in the entitlement and when that happens DLA/AA will take the payment back and pay it instead.
