Confusing Paypal

I've just won an ebay auction for one of those cheap ipod rip-off mp3 players, a friend had bought one and said it was a half decent quality and he felt at least worthy of the price he paid. Anyway, i went through ebay to pay with paypal, got to the stage of confirming payment when it came up that my card was rejected. i realised that the card linked to paypal is one i don;tuse much so i went to my bank site and transferred funds, now back in paypal/ebay when i try to pay it's adding on 3.99 for insurance with (required) in brackets...if i change the value to 0.00 and pay it fails, but when i attempted to pay first time round it was just the price for the item and postage and not th required 3.99, and on the listing it's not required but optional

Best you can do is contact the seller.
Check the small print on the listing to see if it says insurance is required. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
thanks, it wasn't required, apparently the seller had made a mistake in sending out the invoice, it's sorted now.Bought, not Brought0
