  • Is there anyone out there that knows anybody in real life that is an "STR".
I don't know anyone that has EVER done this in real life, and I don't know anyone who even knows someone who knows someone that has done it.

    Yet!...

It is an obsession by some of the posters on this board to forever go on about a group of people that is so small in the real world that nobody comes across them, has anyone on this board ever met one of these people?.

There is a sizable minority on this MSE board that have an obsession about not being able to post on HPC, and it seems they are never off that board.

I have always gone along with the fact that HPC is not a very good site(but here is the occasional gem) and that the argument made by some of the members on this board who have been banned by them and dilsike their "unchallenged" debates were right.

But I now take that completely back and now I can fully see why they have done this. The only thing these posters want to do is discredit and to undermine anything that board has to say by behaving in a pack like way.
You see posters on this board where they just thank anything that is Bull like and fits in with their "wants"(not beliefs), if one of the 24/7 top MSE bulls were to post "I am a frog" it would be thanked by the usual followers. And for the record the bearish element on MSE do not tend to do this(excluding rewired) unless a good point has been made.

Many of you cannot post on HPC, get over it!!

Please stop bringing your gripes onto this board, and forever talking about a group of people(str) where nobody in the real world knows of even ONE.

    Ummmm, well what?

I can watch the TV or fixate on a internet site, and find all sorts of weird and wonderful characters, In the last 48 hrs for example I have watched some nice guy with a great attitude become rich over night because his dog found some whale vomit, or you can sit in the comfort of your chair and find people who believe in little green men from Mars, or people that believe they have seen some hairy ape like man that wanders around the Rockies in the USA who searches through the bins at wall mart after dusk, I can find all these people on the news on while surfing the net.

What I am saying is that hardly anybody knows of one of your elusive "STR's" in the REAL world that you constantly obsess over, except that is for the few that post on HPC, a site that you also obsess over and one that you have no control over, it seems to be driving you nuts:rotfl:

Just make do with second best, I along with a small handful of other similar like minded posters are here for you to "put us in our place" while spitting blood that you are not able to shut up HPC.

I think you'll find that Rhino Shoe is very real indeed

There's a good article here where he talks to the FT about his cunning plan to STR:

He sold his home two years ago (2003) because he was certain that there would be a property crash. Now he would like to be proved right.

Such anger at the world is quite sad.

    Have you considered therapy ?

See the thing is Nollag, I am not the one getting angry in the slightest and am being civil to you and trying to discuss and debate, after all I am not the one that has been banned from an internet site and cannot let go of the fact that I cannot post there;) I tend to return home from work and the gym;), to then see what you guys have posted during the DAY.

Again I will allow other posters to decide who is being abusive.

I will ask you politely again, apart from this Rhino person who I take is a internet character that you have decided to hate for whatever reason, who do you know in real everyday life who is flesh and blood.

Lets make it even more clearer for you as you are struggling with this real life concept, and even with your "getting out more often" jibes which is something I suspect you do not do much yourself in reality. Out of your friends, family, at work, or even friends who have other friends ANYONE that you have contact with in the flesh, give me one example over the last decade who you know who has done this STR thing that you obsess about, and that goes for anyone else on here.

Again, I do not know of one, please someone enlighten me to the masses of STR's that so many of you Bull posters talk about.

Stop using internet people like they are real people you know(thats a concern!), I know of many film stars, sportsman, Little green man chasers, even STR's.

WHO DO YOU KNOW IN REAL LIFE.

    or

Is it like I suspect just an urban myth

He has spent years on here obsessing about HPC and the nasty horrible STR's, and the weirdest thing he has never met a single one:rotfl:
  • Come on Nollag:rotfl:

Surely you must know at least one real life STR, and if you do not know any you could have the decency to make a few up like you do with your property portfolio.

Are you honestly going to tell this board after years of posting about HPC and your hate of STR's, that you do not know a single one:rotfl::rotfl:

    Don't hate anyone tbh, Foxy.

Why are you so angry? You really should reflect on this a little more.

I did have one tenant for a while who sold up their flat in early 2009, moved into my BTL, paid my mortgage and then finally grew a spine and bought again in 2011.

Oh, how he used to lecture me on the folly of staying in the market.

His face was priceless when I put up his rent 10% in the second year of his tenancy. Over the period of his rental, prices in Clapham / Wandsworth area had risen 15%, as had his rent.

Like you and Reinard, just another of life's great losers. Difference is that he grew a spine, and bought back in to the market, in the end.

Nollag's trendy catchphrase really is a superb invention. It's easily on a par with Frank Carson's: "It's a Cracker" or indeed Bruce Forsyth's: "It's nice to see you, nice." Well done Nollag, I'm sure you have your lucky tenants in stitches on rent day.
