Changed courier- no reply from buyer

Hi,

I sold some china ( 2 items) for a friend and emailed the buyer to say I would use another courier as not happy with Collect + and will refund him any excess via Paypal. The thing is I havent heard from him and I also need a contact telephone number to send via Parcel Monkey? He hasnt replied to either emails which is annoying as I need to send them out.

Any advice? The only thing I could think of was to contact Ebay and see what they thought. He has paid.

  • Don't sit around waiting or your going to get bad stars for despatch time, you need to send it as you advertised-if you just put courier 3-5days then it makes no difference which one.
If you request their contact details from ebay there should be a phone number on there.
When did they buy? A lot of buyers will purchase, pay and not log back into ebay unless the item doesn't show up.

I specified Collect+ but have had problems with items going missing. He hasnt put a contact number unfiortunately. I have a 2 day dispatch time . Going out tomorrow so really not convenient to wait in for a courier.

    +1.

You can change and use whatever courier you like to send it. As long as it gets there, I don't think the buyer will give 2 hoots, and you've been kind enough to offer a small refund.

If all else fails, then stick it in an envelope and secure it inside the parcel. I hardly think you'll be talking tens of pounds here.
That's my mutt in the picture above.

So have you contacted buyer for their comment/opinion first as the best option?

Hang on that`s the 2 days I agreed before sending the parcel out- nothing to do with being flexible! ( And it`s` you`re !)

Update- thanks for your help. I contacted Ebay as I haven`t had any response from the buyer top date. They advised me to apply for customer`s number which automatically releases mine to him. So all is done and is now sent.

The point I was making is that you could have given a 7 day period before you dispatched , if you knew you were going to be busy

I'm glad ebay told you to do the same thing as the first person who replied to you on here did.
