Student Finance Direct problem

I'm trying to sort out my student loan forms having started repayments 2 years ago I've just pretty much left it too itself, I'd now like to ensure everythings in order.

I can't recall enough details to log into the Student Finance Direct site. I have my ART ID but I can not recall the password issued to me and am having trouble locating it or even recalling it actually being sent. I don't have a registered e-mail address so I can't reset it online. I called they're support department today and they said the only solution would be to send it out again via post. HOWEVER one of the things I also needed to do, was update my contact details, including my address, the address registered with them no longer exists, I can't log in to update it and they wouldn't let me do it over the phone. What the hell do I do to get round this?

Going to try looking for the form the password was sent on, it's possible it's about but I genuinely can't recall ever receiving it, what format does it come in? Standard A4 with the generic studentsupportdirect header? Would it have been accompanied with anything else such as Support Notification letter? Just want to make sure it's not actually sitting infront of me and i'm overlooking it. It's stated clearly it's my password and not as something else right?

My sister's one (a few years ago now) came through the post on an A4 letter. I think i remember it having a header from the council/LEA. The ART ID, password and secret answer were stated on it very clearly at the bottom.

If they don't let you change your contact details, would it be possible to just let them send it to you old address and just go round and collect it in a few days?
They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!

Unfortunately my old house literally, no longer exists. The entire are has been redeveloped.

    If it's under a coucil/LEA header then it's possible I've overlooked it, thanks, I'll try again (:

Can't they ask you additional security? When I worked for a credit card company, we could ask them extra things. Have you explained to them the house doesn't exist anymore?

Yup I did, unfortunately there didn't appear to be any form of additional security question, I certainly don't recal lsetting one up if it was an option. I noted it was an option online but again to reset it.... I can't.

Going to keep digging and call them back tomorrow, see if I can address the issue once and for all.

Called back today and managed to get it sorted. Lady I spoke to was very helpful and mentioned, as you stated emmaglet, that I could go through a one time only additional security process too access and update my records there and then (over phone). Had to think hard about some of the answers though  long time since I've accessed any of this, but got through in the end and updated! So know she'll reissue me a new pass/answer to my new address, yay!

Number was Phone 08456 077 577 (lots of options)
