Having to fight for a recent refund for my 91 year old father. ( £781)
since mid November 2013 with BG , and finally taking it to the ombudsman service. it struck me how arrogant BG are.
8 advisors, and as stated a phone call and time placing the details in writing and e-mails, and receiving no replies to either.
Father after a lot of stress and upset received 2 cheques in the wrong name, could not be cashed followed by no fewer than 4 seperate amounts from £306 to £48.
Looking after your world - you are having a laugh.
After a lot of grieve I insisted on a goodwill guesture.Received
£50 for dad and £35 for me, guess what we have to wait 3 months.

Have you got online access?, there is a button on their website after you login to request a credit refund. Then input the amount you want. Says it takes a week and mine did take exactly that straight back into my account.0

Thanks ollski
Sorry for the delay I am new to this.
To answer your question - dad is not on direct debit
He thought the information re gas and electric was a demand
He pays at the post office every two weeks with electric key payment
IHAVE REQUESTED a return to quartly billing. Which he under stands.
Seems they can't pay in one lump sum0 -
You are not the only one. I recently changed from Ovo to EDF fixed rate and after three months I still had not received a refund of my credit amount of £400 that should have been returned. However, one telephone call sorted it out and they even agreed to pay the 3 months interest I would have received on the £400. But apparently, they only refund any money in credit when asked! They have no automatic systems in place. So they wait till people ring up and ask for their money back. What a swizz!0
