all utilities should regester the cheapest gas or electric cost, per unit in a table, costed at the same time, fixed for the year.

This would be scrutinized by mse or age concern, for benefit of all fixed income households.:money:

This is pretty much what OFGEM have recommended under the RMR

While you are at it, why not make it law so that:

1. Sellers of second hand cars must advertise at the lowest price they will accept. They must also declare all faults, and any outstanding finance. You are not exempt.


2. Sellers of houses must advertise the lowest price they will accept, and they have to sell at that price if offered that price, unless a higher bid comes through. Once exchange of contract happens, no gazumping allowed. Dead line for completion should be written into contract, so no dragging it out while you house hunt.
